Chocolate Cold Brew with Foam (In 4 Steps)
It is so weird. I live in Sweden, we are one of the top 5 chocolate eating countries in the world! Still, I couldn’t manage to create a Chocolate Cold Crew using milk chocolate… and the only alternative I heard about was using store-bought chocolate syrup. It did taste okay, it did. But I wanted it to taste better than okay! The solution -> Make your own chocolate syrup!
What you’ll Need
- Cold Brew
- Cacao
- Sugar
- Salt
- Ice
- Milk
Brew Time
18-24h
Recipe Time
10min
Step 1
First step is to brew your cold brew (or buy). Make sure to use a beans or ground good for cold brew. Depending on how you like your cold brew, you probably should use dark roast. Medium and light roast will probably not give a taste strong enough for this drink.
If you don’t know what coffee to buy, I recommend some espresso beans.

Step 2
Use a cold brew maker or french press and fill it with the coffee and water. Approximately 1:8 coffee to water ratio.
Let it sit in the fridge for 18-24hrs.
Step 3
Time to make our chocolate syrup.
Mix equal parts cacao, sugar, and milk in a pot. Add a pinch of salt and put the pot on low heat.
Heat up on low temperature for 5min and stir meanwhile.
Pour the syrup into a cup or small bowl and let it chill in the fridge.
Step 4
Time to make the drink.
Pour the desired amount of syrup into a glass and add half of the cold brew and mix it together. Then add rest of the cold brew, ice and lastly, top with cold foam.
ENJOY!
(Pssss… Use a milk foamer for the easiest way to make your foam)
