If you love cold just as much as I do (which you probably do if you read this blog) you probably get a bit interested when cold brew is used for other things than just ordinary coffee. For example, cold brew ice cream, drinks like the cold brew tonic, and cold brew frappuccino. But, there is something to it when you hear about a really surprising combination.
So, when I heard about a wine infused with cold brew, I got really thrilled. The wine is named “Apothic Brew” and it’s produced by the American brand Apothic. This is how they describe the flavor profile:
“Notes of red fruit and toasted oak infused with cold brew for a well-balanced blend that captivates you from the first pour.”
Sound pretty exciting, right? The wine is made out of the Shiraz/Syrah-grape and produced in California.
On Vivino.com, 275 reviewers have described the wine as very bold, acidic, and dry. The average rating is 3.5, so not too high. But I would also guess that a wine that is infused with cold brew isn’t something everyone loves. Either you love it, or you hate it and if you think about it in that way, 3.5 is a pretty high rating.
I would love to try myself, but I haven’t had the chance yet. But as soon as I have, I will post a review here on the blog.
If you want to try the wine yourself, here is where you can find it.
